BOOKS (in order of publication)

The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America - (2019) - Chronicle Books

2022 Indie Bestseller - Trade Paperback Nonfiction

― American Booksellers Association

"There are a lot of great bird field identification guides, but after a day afield with The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America, you will never look at birds or birdwatching the same again...You need this book if you want to lighten up your birdwatching."

― Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette

"There are loads of books out there for bird lovers, but until now, nothing for those that love to hate birds. The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America fills the void, packed with snarky illustrations that chastise the flying animals in a funny, profane way."

The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of the Whole Stupid World - (2021) - Chronicle Books

Goodreads Choice Awards 2021 - Finalist (humor)

"The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of the Whole Stupid World is the funniest book I’ve read since The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America, which we keep in prominent display in our home. I’ve bought so many copies of that book to give away to friends and relatives that Matt Kracht owes me big-time.”

― C.J. Box, #1 New York Times Best Selling Author of Dark Sky

"Full of NSFW names and descriptions for different species that'll have you LOL-ing even if you never actually go looking for said birds IRL."

― Buzzfeed

"...Sort of natural science reimagined as a spurned lover’s drunken rant."

―The Washington Post

"Snarky and irreverent as this volume is, it’s also a soothing counterpoint to all the Very Serious bird guides currently on the market. I’ve always wanted to get into bird-watching, but every book out there makes me feel hopelessly inadequate. This guide...makes me feel like birding is something I could do."

―The Frumious Consortium

OMFG, Bees! - (Publish date: 3/28/2023) - Chronicle Books

“[Matt Kracht] is back with another gloriously funny book about crucial and endangered pollinators…[his] style is somehow simultaneously irreverent and genuine… A joy to read, Kracht's bees book leaves readers smiling.”

―Booklist
